What dates are the Eisteddfod held?
27th May to 8th June 2025
Piano: 27 – 31 May
Instrumental: 31 May - 4 June
Singing: 4 - 8 June
Where do I get a syllabus from?
The “SYLLABUS” tab.
What are the closing dates for the entries?
Entries close @ midnight on the 7th of April
How do I enter?
Go to our syllabus page to see which sections you want to enter.
Then go to “Stardom” to enter (link on syllabus page on website).
If you are having trouble with stardom, click on “Stardom Help” link (on syllabus page).

When does the program come out?
Program publish date by Monday 28th of April
Where do I get a program from?
You can purchase a program, when they come out, from our website.

If I don’t have Paypal, how do I buy a program online?
You can do a bank deposit.

Can you tell me the rules?
You can find the rules on our website in the “RULES” tab or in our syllabus.
Do you have DANCE at your eisteddfod?
No, we are only singing and music.

Do you know when each section (class) is on before entries close?
We MAY have an idea, but probably NOT until the entries are closed and we know how many people have entered.
Then we need to juggle the sections around to fit them into the sessions.
If I am competing, do I need to pay to watch?
All entrants have free entry.
Only people watching who are 8 years & over have to pay door entry.
You can buy tickets on the website or at the door by card.
I need an accompanist. Do you have any I can contact?
Go to our “ACCOMPANISTS” tab.
Where is the eisteddfod held?
The Hobart Town Hall, 50 Macquarie St, Hobart - in the ballroom on the 1st floor.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, the Town Hall has a lift.
How do I buy tickets to come and watch?
Buy Tickets & Programs in the “SHOP” tab.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes! We have credit card facilities and take cash.
If I am coming to watch my child, do I need to pay and do I need to pay for my other children to watch?
Yes. We do charge for admission to help cover the costs of the Eisteddfod to keep it running.
We are a not-for-profit society, so we don’t benefit from our charges.
You will only need to pay for your other children if they are 8 or over.
Do I need to pay by cash if buying tickets at the door?
We have credit card facilities.
Do I need to pay to watch my child perform? What if I am only staying for their one performance?
Yes. It is impossible to monitor who stays all day and who just pops in.

Can the general public come and watch sessions?
Yes!
If you know which session you want to watch, you can buy a ticket from our website or buy it at the door when you arrive.
